Attack on Pakistan Naval Base Prevented
Late on Monday, in Balochistan, Pakistan, a group of separatists tried to attack a naval base in the city of Turbat. The military responded quickly, and all four attackers were killed, along with one Pakistani soldier. The group that attacked, known as the Baluch Liberation Army (BLA), said they were part of their suicide squad called the Majeed Brigade. They claimed to have caused a lot of damage to the Pakistani forces. Just last week, this same group attacked a government building in Gwadar, another city in Balochistan.
Military’s Quick Response
The military’s media wing, the Inter-Services Public Relations (ISPR), reported that the terrorists tried to attack PNS Siddique, which is one of the biggest naval air stations in Pakistan. The troops at the base were quick to react and got help from forces nearby. During the fight, a 24-year-old soldier was Martyred. Saeed Ahmed Umrani, a local official, said that there was a lot of shooting and explosions heard near Turbat airport. The attackers came from three different directions, and the battle went on late into the night.
